Hi,
Im trying to import a design to Flexisign pro, but the box around my trace seems to preventing cutting around the actual image, Im sure im missing something really simple here, but when Ive traced around my image Im saving as Ai file, then importing to flexisign.

When its in flexi sign I choose to contour cut and its contour is around the illustrator file, im assumin I need to change something in the illustrator save, can anyone help with what I should be doing?

Im not sure that im following your problem exactly..but ill give it a shot.

-If your problem is that you have an outline around the entire image, just select the image then object/ungroup (may have to do it a couple times, depending on how its grouped.) then just select the outline and remove it. (assuming that you have a vector design).

-If you made a contour cut path in illustrator and its not seeing it it flexi (this info was just given to me a few posts down) you have to create a NEW SWATCH and choose a color for it...and name the swatch CutContour . Then select your cut path, and choose the CutContour swatch color for it.

-Also when you save any .ai file for flexi...you have to save it as a illustrator 8 file in order for flexi to use it right. (or so has been my experience.)

I think you may have a mask on the ai file. You can drag it into flexi/ungroup and then just delete the box/ re-group. After that proceed with setting up the contour in flexi.
