Hi,

I'm looking to do some gemstones or beeds on the hoodies...what is kind of stones or gems works best with hoodies? Is there other names for gem stone printing? I remember somebody calling it something different. Thx

There are lots of different colored and sizes of rhinestones available, perhaps that is the term you are thinking of. Rhinestone supplies also usually carry other forms of heat transfer objects. Generally Rhinestones are applied with a heat press and using a template, the template can either be computer cut, or made via drawing software and the stones placed by hand.

ive heard a bit about Caviar Beads and believe they are done by first screening an adhesive and somehow attaching(heatpress?) the beads... thats all i know about it. Rhinestones look nice.

if you want to do your own designs with rhinestones you first have to make a template (or have one made) as joe said. you purchase hotfix type rhinestones. they come with a glue at the back of the stone that melts and adheres when applied with a heat press. then there is the more hands-on way of buying any type of beads or stones etc. and doing it by hand one stone at a time with a hot wand type of instrument (look up the 'bedazzler' on the net). you can use it with hotfix rhinestones which cut out them step of gluing them by hand. lots of info to go through to decide what you want to do. there are companies that will take your design and do everything for you as well. but as joe said this thread might be better off placed in the rhinestone section of the forum under heat press and transfers.
