it is a little confusing so I would say go with the largest size possible, 600. If true vector eps it will come in as a vector image that is not resolution Dependant. If it is a raster image the 600dpi should suffice your textile needs.
Someone mention GoMedia and indeed these guy are sweet with the art. Also try and stockhouse called You Work For Them. High quality urban style vectors and Very reasonable prices for their sets; and if you still want it one the cheap (meaning free) side go to the Blue Vertigo site, then move to the "Vector Clip-Art" section.

It's worth noting that the youworkforthem site doesn't allow their images to be used on t-shirts.
i am a screen printer and i also do embroidery. i use a company called copyartwork.com They have any artwork that i send them back to me the following day and sometimes the same day i give it to em. i would highly recomend them.
So I have a question. If I bought a vector art cd with stock images like the mega collection.
Does that mean I can use them on a t-shirt i make legally?
I have seen a few cds of images on ebay for a decent price, and considered buying them to use for shirts and so on, but was unsure if it was legal or not.

You would need to read the licensing details to see what your rights were. Generally, when you buy clipart collections, they can be used and sold on tees. I know the images on clipart.com can. Visit the mega site and it will tell you.

So i would be safe to say. If i bought like a logo pack from Ebay. you know the ones that have logo of famous brands and so on, that it would probably not be legit to use them.
So i would have better luck getting images and vectors strait from the site source. Just to be on the safe side.
Just because you bought a pack of vector images or a single image...you do not necessarily have the right to use that image. If it is a logo or trademarked item, ou must have the permission of the holder to use..best to ready the EULA to see if the image(s) can be used commecially without problems...
Cool. I think I understand. I found a place that has vectors for free and under terms and agreements, it says I can use them personally or for a client, as long as I don't sell the vectors or the group of images via CD or download.
I think I might be getting a grasp on this.
Oh and one more thing. Does royalty free also mean I can use them legally?

"The term royalty-free means that once the content is licensed under a set of guidelines, the licensee is normally free to use it in perpetuity without paying additional royalty charges."
It has nothing to do with whether you can use it commercially or not. That condition is usually spelled out specifically.

lordofdesign.com is providing you links to illegally distributed copy righted material.
Here they have a page with a link to download free copies of gomedias art. Which I am sure gomedia has not given them permission to do.
