Default Corel

I have Corel 12 and X3 on my computer. Whenever anyone sends a photo to me it opens in Corel 12. I have tried to figure out how to set X3 as the default program but I've had no luck. Can anyone tell me how to get photos to automatically open in X3?

Thanks,
John

Usually if you go to the a graphic and right click on the graphic, then open with, it will have drop down list that you choose which program to open with, and below there it says choose program. Once you click the choose program, select the corel draw x3, you will see a little check box that says always open this type of file with this program. Put the check in that box and then hit ok. Now when ever you open that type of file, it will use the X3 to open them Hope this helps.

Or in Vista, you can set the default programme on your right click.

Put the X3 Cd in your drive and do a "Repair". This will set all of the corel & Windows defaults to point to X3 for your edits by clicking on the file name/icon

Can also go in Corel X3, click on the Tools menu, click Options, at the very bottom left of the options pane, click on Global, click on Filters, click on Associate, and click Reset, or checkmark the CDR and whatever else you want to open in X3, that should fix it.
