What are some riles of thumb for positioning shirt artwork? Typical distance from the neck on the front and back?

This depends on artwork size, 1 liner, 2 liner, full chest logo (12" x 18"), All Over (not really needed on this one). In general, we place logo about 2.5" to 3.5" below the neck line for both front and back, maybe a bit lower for 1 liner or 2 liner logo and sometimes per customer preference, our standard location may not be good for customer requirements, so you may ask them to be safe, remember their the boss. goodluck!
