i've been looking all over the forums and the FAQ but i still cant seem to find my answer. Many people have listed sites such as vecteezy.com for free downloads. I understand that pictures from google image search or from anywhere else is probably copyrighted and i am unable to use them for my design no matter how much i modify the image. Am i allow to use the images from sites such as vecteezy and other free vector images site for my t shirt designs without getting in legal trouble

When you go to a site and find images you want to use be sure to check the Terms of Use policy for the site. It will clearly state what the images can be used for. Also when you download an image sometimes individual artists place instructions for use in the "read me" file that comes with that image you downloaded so make sure to check there also.
By doing so and only using the files in which they are approved keeps you legal.
