I think you have to get a Digimarc number. If you have Corel X3 just do a search on watermark in the help and it will explain the process. I believe though, your limited to watermarking bitmap files and not vector files.

Well, you would of course save the file and keep the original. The idea behind watermarking is to protect your product from being pirated when publishing on the internet or sending to a client. You can also publish it to PDF and protect it via security settings, but it may be that you need the full version of Adobe Acrobat to do that.

nest way to do it and be able to get back to the original would be to copy the original and then convert to bitmap the copy and add the watermark and you still have a usable file in the original.

You save the original, then type your 'watermark' text over the design and make it transparent so the design can still easily be seen, then export that as jpeg or whatever and the new image will have a faint watermark over it that would be hard for anyone to remove.

Also, if your saving vector artwork to a bitmap and plan to transmit it, just set the DPI to 72. That makes the bitmap good for screen viewing but not very usable otherwise. Sometimes I put the word "Sample" across the face of the graphic, allowing approval but hard to use otherwise.
Select the Object Picker Tool and adjust the text position if necessary.
Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Emboss.
In the emboss options, set the Depth as desired, the Level to 100, Direction as desired, and make sure the Emboss colour is set to Gray. Click OK.
Display the object docker by going to Window > Dockers > Objects in Photo-Paint 9 or View > Dockers > Objects in Photo-Paint 8.
Select the embossed text or object and change the merge mode to Hard Light in the object docker. (The merge mode is the drop down menu in the object docker that will be set to "Normal" by default.)
Smooth the effect by going to Effects > Blur > Gaussian Blur. A 1 pixel blur works well.
