Default Document to printer resolution help please :)

So I have some designs in photoshop that eventually I want to get printed. Male and female T-Shirts. Now, I dont know the setup process for a printing company to get the image onto the shirt as far as resolution goes. From what I understand it has to be 300 DPI for good quality, but, is there any image size requirements as far as WxH? My male T-shirt templates are about 1500x1200(5in x 4in) at 300 DPI, but that is also including the white outer area around the actual T-Shirt itself. And all of my female T-shirts have been at 1300x1400(18x19) at 72 DPI. Basically my question is this, are my documents set up correctly or how exactly should they be set up? Especially as far as Image size goes. And because my girl shirts are at 72 DPI does this call for me needing to do them over again at higher resolution....?

most screening companies accept illustrator, photoshop and corel files. the best way to find out if you have things setup correctly is to call the people you're interested in dealing with and ask. you can go as big as you want on a shirt but size is relative to pricing etc.

you should always create your files in photoshop at at least 300 dpi. 72 dpi.......sounds like you got something off the web. always start with high resolution you can always size down without loss of quality. if you start small resolution and try to resize it larger.......it won't work.
