Default Best way to print white letters over black letters and Bible Verses

Hello Everyone I have a question .. What would be the best way to print a red shirt with the letters White with black outline .. I doing it in coreldraw x3 and I typed it in the font I want ( lattie black) ...then copied and pasted the font and made the black bigger and put the white on it .. If I print the white over the black will the white wash out in the washing machine .. I didn't let it cut out the letters in the black layer so it wouldnt show the red on the shirt then I print the white I didn't want the little tiny red out of lines to show up if I don't get the white prefect .. Is this the best way to do this or should I have cut the letters and put the white on the red shirt .. I know I may not be wording this right but I hope y'all get the idea .. and while I'm asking this .. Its going on a Church group shirt .. Are they a standard type for printing Bible Verses .. I see them different ways but was just wanted to make sure there Isn't a standard few types of fonts to use for Bible Verses on shirts .. Thanks for any help you can give me on this ...

How are you applying this to the shirt? Screenprint, inkjet transfers, vinyl?

Screen Printing .. I know people do it I just don't want the white to wash out or get light over the black

It's much cleaner if you simply create an outline in Corel of the text. Make the color black.

Do your separation and print/flash/print your white first. Then print the black outline.

Use a good quality shirt. Otherwise, some red dyes mixed with white ink turns the ink pinkish.
