Ok, here is the problem, I have an epson 1400, I just installed a CISS and now I cant print custom sizes. Actually now I cant even print the standard 13x19. Photoshop is the only program that wont allow this. Epson told me that its my photoshop, adobe told me its my printer driver. I dont know what to do but I am suppose to start my company in 2 weeks and I cant print my transparencys. I guess this is better that it happened before I was going, but it is still really bad. If someone has had the same problem or knows why this is happening, please let me know what I can do. I dont think the CISS is the problem, but I noticed it after I installed it, I had not printed custom sizes for a while before I got the CISS. Anyways, if you need more info I will be checking this thread everyday until I get an answer, an if I get one outside of this site, I will be sure to let everyone know. Thank you so much for your time.
I don't think the CISS have anything to do with it either, have you tried uninstalling the printer then re-installing it? I have a 1400 also but haven't had this problem.
I doubt that it is photoshop, but I've never used it. Are you printing to a rip or direct from photoshop to the Epson? I use a CISS and it has never caused any problems. Follow Katrina's suggestion to uninstall the printer driver, then re-install it. Use the original Epson disk that came with the printer. If you are using a RIP, let us know which one. Maybe someone can help.
God Bless You. Ole Jobe
You guys are awesome! Out of all the forums I have been in, this is the quickest, and most sincere answers. Thank you. I am going to try and find the original disc. I am printing directly from photoshop no RIP. I have tried uninstalling the printer driver and that did not work. I really think that uninstalling and then reinstalling with the original disc will work. Thank you very much, I will let you know.
So, I uninstalled and reinstalled with the original disc but I am still having the same problem. Printing from photoshop everything is pushed to the right side of the page no matter what size Im trying to print. I tried just printing some text across the top of the page on a 8.5x11 it cut the whole right side off. When I chose "Scale to fit page" it still pushed everything over. Any suggestions? I know somethings gotta give. Thanks

Reason: got my right and left mixed up.
try looking at the preview in your photoshop print dialogue box. you can make adjustments to your document setup from within it and preview the changes before printing. there should be a button to press that will take you to your printer settings(dpi, color/b+w etc.). other than that check the epson website to make sure you have the newest driver for your printer.
Can you elaberate on that Katrina? I think that sounds like it. How can I change my print settings in Photoshop? I have tried the ol' command-option-shift while launching photoshop to reset the settings file but that didnt work. Please let me know how I can change the print options in Photoshop. Thank you
I think you might have the wrong box checked in the printer settings after you hit the print button. The "Position" box will put what you are printing in a certain position on the page, which is what you seem to describe. The "Scale Print Size" is probably what you need to print full size.
To print edge to edge set your "Page Setup" to 0 in all 4 boxes.
I am definitely printing in portrait setting. I change the margins to 0 or the default, either way it doesn't make a difference. I have been printing for a while now with no problem, so its not like I am doing something different than normal. Some how between photoshop and printing the image is losing the numbers that I have put in. When I do an alignment check on the printer utility, it comes out perfect. But you know what, when I reinstalled my printer driver with the original disc, when I did the test print that it asks you to do, that came out cut off. That didn't have anything to do with photoshop. Man, I dont know whats going on but there must be an answer. Could it be a problem with my Mac os x 10.4.11 not being compatible with the printer for some reason? I have just been reading so much stuff that is never really exactly what I am experiencing, it seems that this has had to have happened to other people before. I wont give up though. Thank you all for your time and concern.
Thank you all for your help! I got it! It was a little help from all of you that did it. By uninstalling then reinstalling the original it helped reset everything. Then what I was paying attention to the whole time until I reset everything "of course" in the printer dialogue box it would say"clipping will occur image is too big" blah blah blah, I skipped pass that and looked at the summary and had to save the settings under a different name, so I didn't use the default 8.5x11. And thank you DecalGuy because you pointed out the portrait deal and so I was paying closer attention to that and one time it had been switched to landscape, so thank you for your time, no one forced you to give a care. Katrina thank you so much as well, I believe that doing the reinstall is what reset everything and got me on my way. I wish I could repay you guys some how, you dont know how good this is for me and my family! God Bless, you guys have some good energy coming your way for sure. Thank you
