Hi everyone!
I cant believe i walked into this one,but here goes.
I got a design on a t shirt that i want to dissect in photoshop.
How and what is the best method to get the image on the t shirt onto my pc?

If I'm understanding you correctly, you have an image on a t-shirt that you need to get to your computer somehow to modify?

You could do a few things:
1.) Take it to a graphics place that can scan it with a large format scanner.
2.) Take a high-res photo of it.
3.) Scan it in segments and piece together in Photoshop.

I've done all of the above, but the high-res photo has worked the best for me.

Ill try the high res option.
Are the customers supposed to supply their own files?to output to screen.

Yea they just did- lol
Any work that you do to the artwork-CHARGE THEM FOR IT! It makes no sense for you to waist hours of your time doing their artwork and not charging for it
I agree Scan it in or digital pic. Take it to Kinkos and scan it in then put it on a disc/chip or email it to yourself

Does the customer supply color separated files or just a digital image?

Everything that is involved in the making of the shirt you should charge for
Artwork-Screen Fee- Set-up.
Depending on the artwork seperations will be included in the artwork
If you sit down at your computor and start to redraw/touchup you should charge for your time accordingly
