I am going to print a t shirt with the words "security"

what is the width that the design should be.

These are adult size shirts

Depends whether it's on the front or back, I would say front 30cm and back 40cm, approximately.

I make these shirts often, the size I use is 11" wide x 4" tall, front and back.
