hi
i have a problem with roland cut studio software. sometimes when i import a jpg file, the photo arrives stretched and cut on the right side. i have made print screens to make it clearer.
the first image is the original photo in photoshop, the second is the photo after importing it to cutstudio. as you can see it is stretched horizontally and cut on the right side.
another thing is that something happens to the colors, it becomes almost grey.
it doesn't happen all the time, maybe only when creating tho jpg in photoshop but im really not sure.
thanks for any help with this.
must say cut studio software sucks..... i have created template for photo shop that includes the registration marks i now print from photo shop, then export to flexi sign pro create a cut linethat includs reg. marks then export to an ai file and import to cutstudio verify the reg marks, deleat reg. marks then do the contour cut it works well but is a few extra steps.
What are you trying to do by bringing a non-cuttable file into a bare bones cutting program?
Cut Studio has a live-trace feature that allows the user to import image files and vectorize them within the program. It's useful if someone doesn't have a program like Illustrator to import vector files from.
i have found the reason for my original problem of the image that get stretched and cut. it happens when you import an image which was created in CMYK colors. if you create the graphics in photoshop, for instance, and you make it CMYK, then save it as a jpeg and imports it to cutstudio, it will be cut and stretched. so you must make it as an RGB graphics. i hope it solves the problem for you RedDoorDesign.

That is exactly how we solve the same problem!
There is apparently difference between CMYK and RGB colour!
