Default Separating this 5-color job in CorelDraw

I designed this artwork for a shirt for a local Dr.Office. I am separating the colors in CorelDraw.

The way I separate most jobs in Corel is by copy and pasting the same design one time for each color. Then I turn one of the colors black, and the rest white for each separation.

My question arises because I want these shirts to turn out perfect an was wondering how each of you separate your colors by adding trap. I was planning on adding a one pixel trap to the light blue, with dark blue overlapping, one pixel for the orange to overlap the light, blue, then one or two pixels for the black to overlap everything.

How would you do it?

Finally, separating this many colors in Corel is time consuming to say the least. Would it be easier to export the JPEG at print size at 300 dpi and separate the colors in a new channel and add 1 or 2 pixels to each color??

Any and all feedback is greatly apprecitated.

I am having trouble uploading the picture. It is a cartoon fish that is royal blue, sky blue, has orange dots and a black outline surrounding the fish and the dots.

Convert to a vector drawing by using Quick Trace.
Each colour should now be an object, give each object a stroke the same colour as the fill, right click and choose overprint outline.
Set the outline to be the width you require your trap to be.
Check carefully before use!
