Default Halftone Issues Between CS & CS4

I'm printing a film for a 1 color logo with halftones. I use a Xante Screenwriter3 which has postscript built right in. If I print the file from CS & choose "Host Based Separations", then set my frequency to 45 & my angle to 61º on my black channel everything works great. However if I do the same thing in CS4, It prints at default settings no matter what I enter in and I get standard super small halftones. Am I missing something?

Sounds like the xante RIP is missing a setting in the CS4 Postscript, it might be incompatible or you might be able to turn it off in the RIP.
Can you change the postscript level in 'Graphics'?

Yes I can change the level. I've tried them all. I've opened both CS and CS4 at the same time to compare print dialog boxes and they're identical. It's gotta be a compatibility issue. The screenwriter3 isn't exactly the new kid on the block.
