Hello
I d/l some eps/ai files off the uscutter forum.
So I put one into adobe ai cs3.
The image(s) is/are a black and white one. I assume mostly for cutting since its a cutters forum.
However I assumed the images can still be edited.

I can not click inside to paint the white area. I can only click on the lines to change its color.

I am lost being non graphics smart.

What do I need to do if possible ?

Okay I pulled the graphic into corel and can fill the white space with the smart tool but can not figure out how in ai.

The issue may be one of two things.
possibility 1:
is that you are viewing the document in "Outline" mode (view menu > outline).

possibility 2:
the line you are selecting maybe part of a compound path and technically not have a fill. To get rid of the compound path you can go to the Object menu > Compound Path > Release Compound Path.
