I have a softball team that wants urban camo t-shirts. The design is just plain text on the front with a name and number on the back. The girls shirts are pink, black, & white Rothco: Product Close Up The Guys shirts are black, grey, & white Rothco: Product Close Up
Anyone done these before? What color would be easiest to read on these?
ah its tough to say... both those prints have a real high contrast and are more fashionalble that regular CAMO t-shirts. I know that when i do darkgreen camo shirts there is little contrast between the greens so just a one color white really stands out.
If you're stuck on 1 color, i would go with a Green or red for the male shirt. sometimes the only way you're going fight high contrast is with higher contrast. Or you could go with something with like a stroke around the text to seperate it from blending with the camo but that is only if you have the option for 2 colors. something like the link below ...
It seems to be for a recreation softball team and you could probably get away with black/navy blue lettering for both but if you want it to stand out, my opinion...
Male: Red
Female: Gray
if they have to be the same color, try the stroke option or give em both a good green. that will make em stand out. or a navyblue/black on both to be a bit more subtle.. hope im not confusing ya. Good luck!

Thanks.
Ahhh! My kinda thread! I would (if youre allowed 2 color) Do a White with Black outline to make it stand out. If you're only limited to 1 color, Brian's suggestions should work ok.
Yeah I agree... your best bet wold be two color use the darker of the shirt for the outline and lighter color for the fill. I would also take the outline, copy it and drag down for a little shadow, but not a lot. I've done production on all kinds of camo colors... on pink I've seen them pick a baby blue. It's just all in what someone's taste is.
I think Red with a black outline on the men's could look cool.
