Default Ilustrator vs CorelDraw

I am currently taking a Design Course and the Software for the course is Illustrator and Photoshop. I happen to be a fan of CorelDraw and designing seems easier to me in Corel. For those that currently use both programs, how do you like Illy vs Corel? It could just be that the Instructor is teaching us the proper way of doing things but it seems that it just takes too many steps to get samething done in Illy than it does in CorelDraw. The computer lab also has MAC's something I am not used to as I use a PC which also could be contributing to things but I just want to know out of all those that have both programs which one do you use the most?

Katrina

Dont open that can of worms.
Myself I use Corel but I own Illisrtator.
In the t-shirt business I find that Corel works best for me.
Both Programs work well. Both have their good and bad points.

Since this topic is covered in many other threads in this section of the forum, I'll close out this topic to keep the information in one place.

Be sure to check out these threads for research on which software preferences people have.

Which includes this long, informative thread (among many others )
Which software is more user friendly?? Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop??
