Default Should I use screenprinting or digital for my printing?

Hi

I have been doing some reading on both screenprinting and digital printing on t-shirts and have come across some conflicting info and would appreciate any help or advice.

I am planning on starting my own t-shirt business but am a little unsure of which printing type I should be using and of course which one would be more cost effective.

Most of my tee's will be mainly writing with perhaps a character or two and will be in an assortment of coloured shirts i. black, white, khaki, pink, blue etc.

Should I be having the fonts/images screenprinted onto the shirt or should they be digitally down.?? I definitely want a good quality print.

Thanks

Silkscreening will give you a better quality print.

Cost will depend on the number of each design you will be printing at a time. Silkscreening is less expensive printing in volume than dtg.

Initially I will only be doing small runs and I understand that these can become quite expensive when using screen printing. From what I understand the making of my stencils will not be cheap and I have about 10 different designs I was hoping to make.

Sorry message sent itself for no reason.

I am now leaning more towards DTG printing as I think it will do what I want and be cheaper in the long run.
