where's the seperation's tab in illustrator and photoshop ??
where's the seperation's tab in illustrator and photoshop ??
i have an epson1400 printer and am trying to print seps and halftones,but i cannot get the seperations tab no where?...in the print box i have g.s. .ghostview and i even added hp laserjet 4v/4mv postscript from the printers in xp...but i dont see no option for sepertions...i used spot colors and saved it as a.pdf file ans opened it in ghostview and it just prints out normal no sep or halftone in the fades...so i tried using p.s cs3 and illy 3,...and tried to print it from their but again same thing no sep options...i've read the tutorial's alot and i dont get it...

File -> Print. There's a dropdown menu with "Color Management" and "Output". Select Color Management. There's a dropdown called "Color Handling" from which you can select seperations (if you have the appropriate drivers).

o.k ...i got that, but it wont let me select seperations...i created the art in flexi-sign 8 as spot colors and saved it as a .eps file and opened it up in photoshop cs3...to print out as seps

yes,its there but greyed out....and wont let me select it...and how do i make sure the drives are set-up properly?.....and should i save my file as cmyk?..or .pdf...using spot colors?...and when i select the post script in illy...i still dont see any thing about seperations....i just finished doing a partial vanwrap..and now i'm back to my printer day 15...lol

If you already have the printer installed, then I believe that it should have already placed those ppds on your computer. They've never been something you had to get from elsewhere.

ok, then so how and where do i set the ppd?...and what is ppd?....ans they should have been installed when i installed the 1400...?
