I have a sample to do for a friends youth group going to a concert! They have ordered black T's and gave me a logo. All i have to do this is inkjet Darks ( Joto) and a heat press. Im not sure if i can make this look good for a black T. If anyone has any ideas id love to hear from you.
I have about 2 weeks....and they want 50 of them.Ive never priced out vinyl, ( canadian$) but if its expensive, my profit is gone, since this is for a friend.
I was assuming a lower quantity, which would have made getting someone to cut the vinyl make sense.
50 + 2 weeks means you have the time and the quantity to justify plastisol transfers. It's a one colour print, so it shouldn't cost much. Apply them on your heat press, and there should still be room for a profit.
My friend has a decal cutter vinyl machine..(that we use to make car decals) ..Would that work?
It's not my area of expertise, but I believe so. Since you have access to the machine anyway, it could be a good option - you'd just need to buy a roll of t-shirt vinyl.
why can't your friend cut out the inkjet for darks paper (i presume the design will be white on black?).......because the paper is opaque white. but i agree with the others above vinyl would be cheaper. just know that weeding 50 shirts will probably take you half a day. unless you're a weeding freak! -peace.
The inkjet for darks that i was sampled from Joto, The white was not opaque...the white came out white.....And yes, it will be a white image/text on black shirt.....I dont care if it takes 4-5 hours of cutting or whatever....Its for a friend...Just tryin to do 50 shirts as cheap as possible, plus im stil llearning..my bigest order ever... Maybe i need some more info on that inkjet for darks....
Leeboy,
I would think ordering the transfers, one color spot would be the easiest and wouldn't cost any more than inkjet paper. They would look better and not have the heavy feel of ink jet paper for darks. Same with the easyweed vinyl, the cost of the vinyl would be the same as ordering transfers. Just my two cents.. Are you doing the back and front chest?
Thanks for all the replys.... All im doing is that single logo on the front chest in white. All i have is a epson printer and heat press.....I dont even know where to order those other products...Would love some more input please....
