Default where is the darn CENTS SIGN in corel

I know I found it in a font before, but I can't remember which font it was that had the cents sign. I know there is a code in WORD but I am using COREL. Does anyone know? Thanks!

i know with most fonts in illy you hold down the option key (mac) and type, that's how you get the dingbats which have all the symbols ´®†¥¨ˆˆøπåß∂ƒ©˙∆˚¬Ω≈ç√∫˜µµ≤¡™£¢∞§¶••etc.

Here's the codes for a PC where you hold down the Alt key and type in a series of numbers:

Windows Alt Key Codes

I know, I tried those codes, I found online but they didn't work in COREL. Or maybe I am just stupid. Thanks though! I am going to try dingbat and go down the suggestions. Thanks Everyone!!

What version of Corel are you running? Is it CorelDraw? I'll try it to see if it works in my version

Make sure to include the 0 in the keycode. If you get just a square box, then the font may not have an equivalent so you may need to switch to another font for the cents symbol, then switch back. You may also see if you have Character Map installed (Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map), it's still included by most defualt installations. This will allow you to view every character of a font. In there you can find the cents symbol, double click, then copy/paste into Corel.

I have found that this method does not work on my laptops because they do not have the numeric keypad but it works find on the desktops because the keyboard has the numeric pad to the right. Not sure if that is it but that is what happens to me

Make sure you're using the keypad, not the number row at the top of the keyboard.

If you're using a laptop, every laptop I've seen has a keypad overlayed on the letters that can be accessed using a function key. Just makes it a little more fiddly (at which point you might be better off manually using the character map).

and when all else fails.....

START > RUN > CHARMAP

find your font, scroll the list, select characters, copy & paste.

Obviously on a PC.

I just tried in CorelDraw typing alt 0174 and it worked using the numeric keypad on the side of my keyboard.

It didn't work when I tried using the numbers at the top of my keyboard.
