Default Fashion Design Software

I have been searching the web for fashion design software. I found Corel has collaborated with a French company and made C-Design. I called their NY office and requested a catalogue and pricelist. Needless to say I didn't receive it and the NY office phone was disconnected.
If anyone knows of some fashion design software that can match C-Designs ability please post it.

Many thanks

I have never heard of the software before. Tell us what features fashion design has and maybe someone will know of some alternatives.

Corel DRAW or Adobe Illustrator will do everything you need. C-Design looks like a bunch of overpriced templates. Save money and buy a book that shows how too use these programs for fashion design. I have taken fashion courses and I knew how to use the Adobe products better than some instructors. Now I'm trying to learn DRAW and Xara.

P.S.
If intense photo manipulation is required you will probably need Photoshop to use with Illustrator since it does not include a photo editor, like DRAW includes PHOTO-PAINT.

I appreciate your responses. This is the link to C-Design.

C-DESIGN Fashion - Advanced Fashion Software

What the software does:
C-DESIGN Fashion® has been created to allow Designers and Pattern Makers to design garments- create all shapes, apply color and fabrics, stitches, prints, embroideries, and special effects such as vintage effects and stone-wash… Also to quickly generate Technical Packages, including product presentation, measurement boards, size specs, hangtags, color variations, technical information, assembly, comments, packaging and more.

C-DESIGN Fashion® is a Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software which allows designers and graphic designers to create their ready-to-wear collections quickly.

C-DESIGN Fashion® aids Patterns Makers and Product Managers in easily creating the technical packs for each product of the collection. Merchandisers also have access to powerful tools that create window displays and merchandise presentations.

Newest generation of CAD-CAM software
- A database of over 18,000 existing garments, shapes, details and supplies for Women, Men, Kids and Lingerie
- Fifty customizable Technical Packs
- Improvement in quality and speed of the creation process
- Reduction in decision time
- Improvement of internal communication on products
- Electronic documents easy to send and forward
- Instant visualization of products before production
- Improvement of creativity with dynamic and interactive design tools
- Import and Export compatible with over 80 graphic formats
- Technical drawings and schematics more precise
- Automatic creation of Technical Packs

I would like a program that has templates premade, this would save me alot of time and I can focus on the designing of my products.

If anyone knows of a software that can do these things or even a portion specifically the various apparel template and digital modeling of the apparel I would be very grateful.

DFP looks like a decent program. Thanks for the suggestion. I guess $400 wouldn't be a bad investment into templates and the presentation ability. thanks again
