You may not be viewing your document in the setting that you are printing. open your document in photoshop and select "VEIW>PROOF SETUP>MONITOR RGB" make sure "VIEW>PROOF COLOR" is checked.

amkha69,
Let me get this straight, so when you print the image onto your transfer the color is fine but when you heat press it the red turns orange?
This may not have much to do with your printer but more with your transfer paper(or possibly RIP software if you use it)
Here seems to be another issue. Printers print colors using a mixture of CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key-black) while you are editing your image using Red Green and Blue to make your colors. The colors wont be the same from what you're viewing and what will be printed. Try editing your images in CMYK mode and your colors will be more accurate. in photoshop "IMAGE>MODE>CMYK Color"

hehe positive dave is on the right track. The problem doesnt seem to be with your document setup or printer but more with the interaction between the transfer paper and the heat press.
Sidenote: it still isnt a bad idea to edit your images in CMYK mode because thats how your colors will print.

Sidenote #2 - make sure that the colour gamut of your working profile is bigger than the gamut of your inks otherwise you can get your colours clipped for no apparent reason!

taking a few more look seems like the red on the display kinda leans toward orange when I press it it a shade lighter then the print, thats why it looks orange. I did lower the temperature and time as well, I am thinking I need to make the red out stand more give it more boldness. I am playing around with the color settings right now, more complicated than I thought!

You can check how your image will look printed in CMYK mode (if printing a transfer, this is the mode that it uses) by going to VIEW -> Proof Setup and checking "Working CMYK", and then got to VIEW -> Proof Colors.
If your transfer is changing to a dark orange after pressing, most likely your heat setting and possibly, your pressure as well, are too high.
