Hello,
I am all set to do a print and cut using cutting master 2 but, the registration option is non existent. I don't mean greyed out it just doesn't appear at all?
Please help.
Kinda hard to diagnose your problems from the information you gave. What program are you using cutting master with. Is it a student version or OEM version. If is corel draw, you need the retail edition for any of the plugins to work. You might try getting an updated version from graptecs website and remove your current version and reload it. If you still have trouble after reloading cutting master, try giving a little more information and we'll try again. Good luck.

The registration mark is visible in that snapshot. Did you even try cutting it? Even on a plain paper placed on a carrier sheet so that you don't waist the actual media you are trying to cut.

The registration marks need to be inside a "border" type area and the image need to not be large enough to intersect with the area outlined by the registration marks You really need a large format printer to be able to make prints large enough and still have an area outside the image area to leave plenty of room for the registration marks. Try one where you use a small image in the center of the page and the registration marks are well within the implied "border" area. Good luck.

Hello'
I don't have a problem with the registration marks printed on the paper but, if you look at the photo underneath the STEP SIZE selection there is a large gray area with nothing there. this is where the use reg marks selection box should be but it's not there? Same thing is happening in robomaster software. But here in one photo is me sending the file from robomaster to the cut plot controller. Can't use the reg marks option cause it's greyed out.
but, if I open the controller by itself I get the option to use reg marks?
Somehow the registration marks you have in first (Cut/Plot) the Use Registration mark option is not shown. That is the advance tab I am getting if I don't add registration marks. Did you hand drawn the registration marks or moved the marks from their original position? CM2 will not recognize registrations that is not generated by cut plot. Or if it is not in its own layer labelled SA regmark type2 auto appended with the x and y locations of the four marks whatever the x and y values are. Cut/Plot reads the type and the 4 x/y values.
If you want custom registration marks draw a rectangle around the image, click the application launcher(rocket), select registration marks, click the Convert rectangle checkbox then click OK. That way CM2 will recognize the custom marks.
The registration marks that are legit should not be shown in the Cut/Plot display window. Only things are supposed to be shown are the cut objects. Your photo clearly shows at least one of the supposed registration mark. When it shows that means it is one of the cut objects.
Change the color of the registration marks to other than black. Make sure they are deselected, send the file to Cut/Plot then click the layering tab. If you see more than 1 color listed that means the ones that you thought were registration marks are actually cut objects.

Thanks,
That is exactly what I did. I used the rectangle tool and fit it around my image. opened up the reg marks and checked convert rectangle to reg marks. it did what it was supposed to , create 4 reg marks around the image. The weird thing is that when I sent it to cut plot you are right for some reason it made it each reg mark an object to cut? The minute I hit cut/plot there were nodes showing on the reg marks? why would that happen?

I am not sure why it turn out to objects. Try deleting the registration marks by unlocking the registration layer, right click on the layer and select delete. Make another registration marks as you did before. This time make sure the registration mark is not selected before you send the image to the cutter. BTW the layer is locked when Cut/Plot creates the marks. So It can't be selected anyway. I tried unlocking the layer and change each color by selecting each mark and right click on the color palete to change its color. I deselect the last one then send the image to Cut/Plot and still CM2 recognized the marks. I have done it both ways with the layer locked or unlocked CM2 still recognized the marks. Is the image zoomed? It looks like it does not fit the media. Make sure the Media size is larger than the image to match with the image size. That is another possibility. Try sending a smaller image.
What version is your CM2 I just installed the latest V1.60. It triggered virus alarm with my anti virus software. I was told by Graphtec tech support that their software is virus free. According him "Some anti virus software mistakenly detects some of the files as viruses" and not to worry. I did not have problems using registration marks with the older version it is just better to have the latest one.

Hello,
I am using v1.20 because when I installed v1.50 and I hit cut/plot nothing happened?
I did not have problem with V1.2. I just cut from v1.6 a few minutes ago. I did panic when it would not cut when I send the image 4 or 5 times. It turned out that I did not press enter after I did a test cut. Duh!!!. It did fine after I pressed enter.
Did you ask tech support why v1.50 is not working for you?

Sorry, I am taking back what I said about registration marks are not suppose to show in the Cut/Plot display. I did a multiple cut on one sheet and the registration marks are displayed in the new copies. Did not mean to mislead you.
