Default silhouettes Using Corel X3

Using Corel X3, is there a quick and easy way to turn a pic into a silhouette. Let's say I want to take a wakeboarder out of the pic and turn him or her into a solid black graphic.

I know I'll probably get many replies on this so thanks in advance for your help.

I did some searching, but this was the only topic I found (but it's not about Corel):

Turn a photo one color:
Best way to turn a photo to one color.

Hopefully someone will have some info on how to do it in CorelDraw as well.

I found it.
Monotone creation?
This can be done essentially the same way in Corel.

Select your bitmap.
Change the mode to greyscale
Change the mode to black & White
( in the drop down menu change to line art and play with the settings until your happy with the result)
Click apply

With the bitmap still selected open in Trace and trace to vector

Thanks everyone for your help with the silhouette tutorial. I will play around with it tonight. I also liked the info on creating a monotone affect. All cool stuff.

Now all I need are some design ideas to use them on.

If these tuts dont get your desired effect. Print the image in color to regular paper. Using parchment paper trace by hand with a black drafting pen. Scan into corel as a black and white image (300dpi) trace in PowerTRACE.
