[Illustrator] - How to view chosen color after live trace
I used live trace, say I had it do a trace using 16 colors. Is there a way that I can turn on or off certin colors to view or use. I just want to see the black on my screen, how do I turn off the other colors. I want to just see the orange on my screen, how do I turn off the other colors and so on.
Thanks....
Pick one color you want to hide then select/same/fill color to select the color you want to hide then object/hide/selection. It may be easier to select the color you want to see on your screen and lock it, then select everything else and hide everything except the locked part.
That worked but, I'll have to select all of that color all over the picture to isolate it. Is there a color pallet that will show me the 16 colors in my image and let me select a color to view only? Or to choose which colors I don't want to see?
I've found in the live trace control panel that when I trace I can have the colors put into a swatch panel that will show the colors of the trace.
Now, How can I turn on or off individual colors to work with.
Thank you, that worked, I guess there is no other easier way to do it. I have always used flexisign pro and in that I can just hit the "F" key and it will show my used colors. All I have to do is to put a check mark next to the color(s) I want to see, then when I hit "OK" only the color(s) I choose will show on my art board.
Select a colour and send to a new layer, that way you can show/hide layers. :-)
Again, Thanks. I've played with it alot and now I think it is much easier to control than the program I've been used to for years (flexisign pro).
I guess you kind of get stuck in the old because I was expecting the NEW software to work like the OLD.
Q> Why did I buy new software??
A> I was tired of the old....
I've just stopped thinking in the old way.
Again, Thanks
