[Photoshop] - problem with logo edges ang color seperation

Default problem with logo edges ang color seperation

Im having problem in showing a good sharp edges of this Logo.. i scan it and try to color sep it to make it a 1 color logo. but some edges are not to sharp or doesnt show up nicely after i seperate them...

really need some expertise on this... thanks...

just scanning it won't give you sharp enough edges. When you scan, it is a raster image, if you blow it up you will see gradiants on the edges of the lines this is for smooth blending to the eye while looking at it. they are not sharp enough to use for screen printing. try vetorizing the image, then cleaning up the edges, then making your image for printing.
Or you could fine a font that looks like it (times or times new roman bold or something like it) and redraw the shopping cart and add the outlines. I have had to do this lots of times.

just pay a few dollars and have it vectorized, pass the cost on to the customer. heres the company i use

The image has been printed, then scanned and cut - the original is not smooth?
Get a vectorising programme, there's one in Corel, Adobe had Streamline, prob called something else these days.
It isn't that difficult for simple images.
btw it's separation!
