Default Adding font in Vista

I hate Vista, I hate it, I hate it. I can't wait to save up enough money for a Mac. Anyway, I'm trying to add fonts to vista and for some reason it's not adding. I copy the font files and then I paste it to the font file in my Windows directory, it asks me if I started this action and if I did I should click continue and I do. Then I look to see if it's in there and it's not. What gives? GAWD I hate Vista, I will never go back to a PC.

Thanks for the help. I was using WinRar and with XP you can directly extract it from there. Why doesn't vista tell you that it didn't copy it, but when you try to paste it it asks for permission? I hate vista. And that Mojave BS gets on my nerves every time I see the commercial.

once you find the font where it is saved . . you don't have to copy and past to the windows/font folder anymore. . . once you have extracted the font from the zipped folder (if you have to do this step) just right click on the font file and left click install . . . much more simpler. Let me if you need some anymore help.

are the files unzipped, if not, extract or save your files in the windows/font directory...I store fonts for adobe in another folder.
