I use the most recent version of inkscape. I think I may have inadvertently changed a setting in the program because now when I make a rectangle using the rectangle function, instead of them having sharp 90 degree corners, the corners are cut. The corners look like slashes "/" & "\".

I've tried using the radius option on the rectangle to fix the corners with no luck. I've also tried tinkering with the corners in the fill and stroke screen with no luck.

Does anyone have any idea as to how to fix this?

The issue turned out being the miter limit setting in the stroke style function. I increased the value until the corners were the way I wanted them.
