Default Logo Help

I am doing a logo for a side business I have using coreldraw x3. The logo is actually just letters aranged they way I want them. The problem I am having is when I add the logo to my webpage it also adds the white background. How do I remove this white area from behind the logo?

Thanks,
Katrina

Are you exporting the image from Corel as a jpg?

Jpg's don't support transparency. So you will either have to add the background color of your webpage to your corel file before you export it, or save it as a file that does support transparency, like a png.

Got it. Thanks a ton. I was exporting it a s a jpg. So if I add the backgound color of the webpage in corel before exporting it that should take care of it. The web builder tool I am using will only allow you to upload files in jpg, jpeg, or gif.

Thanks for your help I will make the change now.

GIF supports transparency, so if you export as a GIF that should work as well.

I can never get good looking GIFs from Corel. Thankfully PNG has become widely supported.
