Default Help with B/W artwork

I have been trying all day to get his picture into a useable format unsuccesfully. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to print correctly.

I have tried converting it into a vector with vector magic with little success. Also tried to increase the contrast and replace pixel colors with corel.

HELP please!

Any ideas or anyone want to take a shot at it. Anything will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Aaron

When I go to make a screen, I am losing a ton of detail (due to the gray areas letting the emulsion harden behind them). Alot of what you see are shades of gray. When i go to vectorize it, it has a hundred different shades of white to black. I have smart designer, but when I go to make it into just a black and white image, it doesnt stop..lol

I am really new to this game, this is my first attempt with a photo image and screen printing.

Using a metal halide to expose, but no vacuum blanket. I need more detail than I am able to muster b/c of the gray areas.

Thank You!

Unfortunately smaller than the printed piece. What do you mean by half toning it?

Keep in mind ALL of my work has been spot color up to this point

you have to set your frequency and angle of the black and that will make the gray parts print in half tone which will then expose correctly

You may have to do some walking here.

When I go to print and check print seperations, it wants to print all 4 process colors (I am assuming b/c a bitmap will print in process v/s vector being spot color) is there a way to tell it to just print black and all shade variations?

The source looks too small to effectively screen down.

I have tried to resample it 400%.
Following that rerendering (anisotropic shock filtering) in order to simplify it.
Output is in four index colors.
Used programs Greycstoration and gmic.
