What version of Windows do you need for the current version of Inkscape?

I have used version .46 on Windows XP and Vista. There seems to be a developmental version out of Inkscape but I cant find it

There are a few problems for people using Vista together with development versions. so, best with XP.

You can find the latest development version here. Just unpack to any directory and run it. If you have a Wacom tablet, set the mouse up to run in pen (absolute) mode for the Inkscape application.
