Default Help preparing designs please!

Hi.I have a quick question.I have my apparel company in progress right now and i have a couple of designs that I'm for sure going to use but they're graffiti style sketches in my black book.I'm planning to scan them and edit them with Macromedia Fireworks MX then print them out to give to the screenprinter. What do I need to know about the format that my designs need to be in and what I need to do to get them ready for the screenprinting process?

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

~REK

since you're outsourcing the printing, then u should check with them in regards to what file specs they require for proper results.

I agree with maXmood... it's always best to design to your printer's specs

and may I ask... Why Macromedia Fireworks?

Adobe Illustrator is our program of choice, we prefer vector files built in PMS colors to size. You should always check with the printer to save yourself time and money!

dpi is Dots per inch that's pretty much the number of individual dots that can be placed within the span of one linear inch. or your image resolution, 300 is really high image quality.when you burn the screen in comes out a lot cleaner.
