How do i go about doing the dots? is it some kind of bitmap?

Looks like oversized halftones to me...

Check the tutorial I posted a day or two ago in this section, set the value to a higher number to achieve bigger dots

Here's a quick pic to achieve the same result:

This also works with gradients as well, to have the dots go from larger to smaller

none of them really help i know how to do them in black and white i need to do them for a poster and when i do it in photo shop in black and white i cant get them in color or the white background out of them. and i would like to even do them in a shirt.

Those are really hot shirts . . . sorry that doesn't really address you issue but I just had to comment on the design

thanks that helped....how would i go about fading it down like on the letters in the one shirt?

Start with a gradient, and then apply the effects in that tutorial for Illustrator, it works great!
