Default output doesn't fit printable area

I always seem to have issues when I go to print that the design does not the printable area, which is Letter.
In the preview it looks good.
I use a Espon C88+ and Oki C5500. I couldn't find the border(margin) size for either printer. So not sure what I would have to subtract from the paper size to get a true print size.
So should I be setting up a bleed limit ? Never used that setting so not sure if thats even a way to go.

This drives me crazy.

Thanks
Mark

Thanks.
In this case I am setup for letter.
The design is (according to corel) 8.220 x 10.72
So that leaves enough room in my mind. If the printer has a .25 non printable margin then 8.25 x 10.75 printable.
Unless the printer has a .25 non printable maring on each edge. Guess I will go try subtracting a 1/2 inch.

Dang I must be tired. seems harder than it should be. Guess I am greedy and want every micro inch to print on.

Thanks
Mark
