Question 13" x 18" Film Storage Solution?

We have been searching for a storage solution for our film positives for quite a while. We exclusively use 13" x 18" film!
Has anyone discovered a sensible storage solution for this size media?

i have seen a storage system for X-Rays, but I'm not willing to spend that kind of cash on a storage system.

If you have any Ideas or have solved this problem for yourself, take a second and tell me about it.

TIA,
Jack Clements

I have the same problem. I have seen a post on here where somebody store their films in a large envelope and then folded the flap over a coat hanger (and then hung the hanger up) --- the problem with that is that I can't find an envelope large enough (13 x 18) for my films. If anyone knows where to get such an envelope -- let us know!

Thanks

Archer

We use an old flat file (designed to store architectural draftings). Uline does have jumbo envelopes.

The old flat file storage is a lot of time available from used equipment company's at a substantial savings.
