Can I have part of a bill (not all of it, just a portion of it) screenprinted onto a shirt?

Like I want just a part of the bill screenprinted, or is this a copyright thing?

We bury 100 dollar bills(printed on decal paper, not real) in paint jobs all the time, never had a problem, it's kind of a fad right now. But, I have always heard that you cannot copy, or duplicate United States currency, in any way, shape, or fashion. That's my disclaimer, if you see some black Suburbans pull up to your house, well, I've heard some of the federal prisons have nice golf courses.

Makes perfect sense - there's just laws on how you can reproduce money. For example, it can't be double sided printing of anything close to a real life size note. Single sided is fine. Whacky sizes are fine.

If you search the forums there was a thread on this a while ago with links to the actual laws, or you can Google for it. Better to get it straight from the source.
