Can You make Your OWN Clip Arts?
Hi Guys,
Is there any software that gives you the access to make your own custom made clip-arts instead of buying some sorta clipart graphic suite from a third-party vendor because sometimes they don't have what you're looking and not to mention they can be expensive
I was wondering if i can make my own clip-arts?
it would be real nice to have a unique clipart than having the same common one like others..

Re: Can You make Your OWN Clip Arts? Clip art is generally vector format, so photoshop may not be the best tool. Illustrator or Coreldraw would be good choices.

Re: Can You make Your OWN Clip Arts? Look at the serif line of software. It's cheap and it works.

Re: Can You make Your OWN Clip Arts? Hi. You can actually create clipart from photographs with Photoshop. There are various plugins available to help you with this task. A google search will help you find those. You can also trace around outlines if you have a graphics tablet. These are best done in vector format though. The colour fills with clip art tend to be solids rather than graduations, so it's easy enough to do. Hope this helps.

Re: Can You make Your OWN Clip Arts? Personally I do some of my vector art with inkscape its a free open source program
The trick is if you want it to work with AI or Corel draw you have to save it as an eps.
As for raster images I sometimes use from time to time gimp. Its like photoshop. Not as powerful but very useful and the best part its free.

Re: Can You make Your OWN Clip Arts? If you make your own, it's not really "clipart," I think. It's just "art."
