Default Printing issues

I have several images I am trying to print from Photoshop3 into my Epson 1400 with Sawgrass inks. Every time I send it over to print it feeds the sheet half way in before printing and then cuts off the last 1/2" of the image. I have messed with several settings only to get the same result. Any ideas on what I am missing??

Thanks!

What's it look like on Print with Preview?

Some things that have slipped past me before: Manual printer settings for the type (IE: Printer is set via menu'ing to think it's printing on photo paper, but software thinks it's printing letter, or vice versa)
DPI settings causing it to print smaller/bigger

So may want to check those as well!

joe's right. always do a 'print with preview' if it's an important doc/graphic. you'll be able to see the file and the page spread and even 'grab it and drag' to the appropriate position.

I think I have figured this out, however I feel like I manually by passed some step. I was thinking I might be heading for trouble when I want to tile some images etc. Anyone have an idea on where to go to learn this end correctly?

Sounds like you might've been/want to be playing around with the Slice tool. The slice tool is used to divide an image up into segments for easy exporting/tiling. I don't particularly care for using it, although I have used it in the past with success (did a 2x2 tile mural with it). The slice tool should exist in your toolbox, although I used the Slice Select Tool to divide my image, you'll need the Slice Select Tool to delete a slice as well.
