I have been given an image like a photogragh that they want put on a shirt. The order looks like its going to about 300 shirts. Screenprinting would be the fastest option but I am not sure if it can produce the image like they want. What would you suggest? Would it be better leaving it as a photo or converting it to a graphic? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Palmetto,
Could you post a small image of the graphic? It would help better determine whether you should make the photo a graphic or not for your order....also, Are you still in need of the service?

Apparantly DTG printing is good for that (but it's more for limited orders really). But, then again, I'm no expert; it's probably better to ask somebody around here who knows more.
Check out Colorado Timberline (coloradotimberline.com)
They can do large quantity Direct to Garment or sublimation.
I've had great results when I've used them.
You can submit everything over their website and design tool.
True, you can't sublimate on navy blue. Sorry, I thought you were talking about something like golden shirts with blue trim as the design looks a bit too dark to imagine it on navy background.
i agree with tania.......that design on navy blue won't work as is. i'd suggest lightening and boosting contrast, playing with color levels etc. in photoshop so it works on a dark background. good luck.
