Unhappy Distorted Film Output Epson 1400 AccuRip

Newbie Here. I've printed 4 designs so far with no problems. Don't know what I'm doing different, but I've wasted 3 sheets of 13x18 waterproof film on a simple one-color design that, inexplicably, is coming out of the printer perfectly - except for the right 1/3 of the image that is just a band of straight lines. Imagine printing a picture, then taking an eraser and swiping straight down the right edge. I'm using Photoshop, an Epson 1400 with AccuRip. Help me please guys. Thanks!

Have you tried printing it without your rip software? Try printing a fast draft on plain paper to see if it still does that to diagnoise what the problem could be. If it still does that, its most likely your printer. For printer issues - try cleaning your heads, etc. For rip software, check all your settings.

Artwork too close to the edge of the print area maybe?

you could also try an opaquing pen to fill in the missing areas... need a steady hand for that

Thank you.... I changed the settings to print without the rip software and it printed just fine. I changed the settings back and it's printing the logo.... except on that right margin area that was printing that band of lines.... it's now printing a narrow distorted version of the logo. Pulling up the software manual now to troubleshoot.....

There's a whole lot to draw and fill in to fix this lol... I'm gonna read the software manual and I'll report back. Thanks for helping me!

Ok. I was setting up my new page size within Photoshop's Page Setup and the Print menu. Seems Accurip required that I pull up their setup menu and change it there as well. I was mistaken that once it was setup, all changes could be made within the drawing program. Guess not. I would not have been able to sleep until I got that printed! Thanks for the ideas!

Sorry, couldn't be more helpful! Glad you figured it out though.

OMG! That's exactly what it was doing!! Launch AccuRip, go to File>Setup and make sure your media size is the size of the film you are using.

I have had a problem somewhat similar, and if I save my photoshop file as a pdf and then print from the pdf it eliminates the lines.
