Default From layer to channel

Hi,

I gave my printer Photoshop design files divided in layers, but he told me he prefers to work with channels instead.

How do I turn each layer into a different channel that he can print from? I've been trying to do it, but I don't get it...

Thank you in advance.

if each layer is one color: choose layer, select all, create new channel, paste

that should do it...

if you have multiple colors on one layer, you're going to have to separate them yourself onto each new layer

I'm glad you got it worked out... my only question is why didnt your printer convert to channels... or print separations from the layers?

lazy... or doesn't know how either

I too am a bit surprised, it was an easy fix... would have only taken 2-3 minutes tops right?
