Default Eliminating Background on an .eps

I was sent separate .eps files for each individual color of a design I am working with a customer on but when I import them into Corel they have a white background (box) around them. The boxes don't allow me to lay the colors on top of each other to prepare the separations for printing.

Does anyone know how to eliminate these boxes? I tried going to arrange then either break apart or ungroup but those options aren't available. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

if you can select individual points in Corel, you could select one point of the box and just hitting delete two times should do it...

I don't have Corel, I have illustrator... no Corel for Mac that I know of...

If you can't get it, I would be willing to try and get it off there for you and send you back the file

ALSO, are you sure they are not PHOTOSHOP EPS files?

you should be able to select the box, ungroup the file and delete the background.

But you may get pieces that need to be selected individually and deleted that way.

There may be part of the file that is not eps(an image)? This may be what is causing the problem?
