[Photoshop] - Getting only the outline of a Bold Fold
I'm new to this forum, and also new to photoshop and illustrator.
Well, I am wondering how do I just only take the outline of a bold letter from photoshop or illustrator?
For example... if I use the word YELLOW... I just only want the outline of that word, where on the inside it is just blank... so I can try different designs inside the letter. Sorry if this is confusing.
in illustrator type the word(s) that you want in the font that you want using the text tool. then select it using the selection tool. at the bottom of your toolbar there will be a box with a square that is full of a color (fill color) and a rectangle that shows the color of the border or stroke. usually the default is black or white. just click on the fill color and select no fill (the small box underneath with a line going thru it). then select the stroke color (you can choose any color you want and make sure that you have a stroke selected. up in the menu bar go to window>stroke. in this little window you can make the stroke as thick as you want. i'm pretty sure it should work the same way in photoshop. good luck. -peace.
