You know how you copy an image off the internet without downloading it first, How do I fix that picture? Meaning, when you copy a picture from the internet it looks blurry/wiggly. I don't know the exact word for it, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe it's called pixels, or resolution?
If you understand what I'm talking about and know how I would take the steps to fix this, Please help me with this.
Actually, I don't think I can find this anywhere else.
I'm working on an obama design, and so far this is the best I have found, but when I'm seperating the colors the edges aren't coming out right.
are you copying/downloading a photo or artwork? artwork you have a decent chance of redoing it (placing in illustrator and actually redrawing every piece of the design from scratch). photos are specifically low resolution so they download fast in your browser window. and also so people can't copy them and reprint them as if they were their own. if you need a high resolution photo for your design you will either have to purchase one somewhere, find it in hard copy print or take a photo yourself.

Most of the images you will find on the web are 72DPI as that's all it really needs to be for a high quality image on the internet. For print, 300DPI is ideal. Try posting the image so we can see what type of photo it is?
and also me being new to this I don't know how to draw a design over.
JUST SUB IT OUT, SHOULDNT COST MORE THAN $15 AND ONE DAY. THERE ARE PLENTY OF VECTORIZING SERVICES OUT THERE. HERES THE ONE I USE. vikingarts.com
YOU CAN FIND MANY OTHERS OUT THERE. IF IT WAS AN ACTUAL PICTURE THATS A DIFFERENT CASE. THIS IS JUST SOME SIMPLE CLIPART LOOKING ARTWORK, SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM AT ALL
what do you mean by fix? i'm sure this design belongs to someone. are you going to sell these shirts or give them out? if you were going to give them out i'm sure someone from your local obama campaign office could dig up a printed flyer with the same design that you could scan into your computer at a high res that would be suitable for output. call em up and tell them to send you some stuff.
how big and at what resolution is the image? if it's off the internet it's low res not suitable for print. you would have to place it in illustrator and use it as a template to redo it from scratch. plus there's a couple of gradients in there. simply using a vectorizing program or trace tool won't work> (i don't think, with the effects).
copying it for the purpose of selling tshirts is a whole nother ballgame that's been discussed many times on this forum. good luck!
