Default Template

I see you can save a file as a template in CorelDraw. How do I create a template so I can just go in and drop a name and number in with it being perfectly aligned. I saved the following as a template, however, if I go back in and change the name, it does not maintian the same path. I would like to create other templates where I could have artwork and just change the school name. Anyone doing this when you cut the names and numbers?

The best way I have found is to start with your original. Choose the "envelope" option and apply that to your original. Then you can choose the text tool and it will open the edit text box allowing you to change the name but keep the arch. Sorry if this is a little confusing, I can post pics if necessary.

I'll give it a try. I've seen the templates done in sites like Rivalart.com and Transfer Express where you simply drop in a different mascot and change the type. I'd like to get to something like that. Maybe if you lock everything down except the things you want to change, that would be similar.

Thanks

I'm going to have to play around with it. I laid down the type and created the arch using the envelope tool. I then went in to edit text and changed the name to Miller and this is what I got. I'm now trying to center it but haven't figured that out.

Huh, I didn't have that problem at all. I even used longer and shorter names - all with the same result.

Oh, I did forget to tell you. You need break apart the text and size the name and number appropriately.
Then center the two. Then add envelope to the name. Make a copy and edit the text and your graphic will be centered.

Ok, I'll try that.

Thanks
