Just be careful though and read the fine print. I don't think you can use the designs to sell on your t-shirts though.
After reading thru the fine print on their site it wasn't exactly clear on this issue so I actually emailed one of the moderators of the morguefile site & asked about using member's images for shirts, mugs, etc....
he told me it is a grey area & I should email the owner of the photo for permission - so there would be no problem then.
Ah, as an illustrator I can tell you that some companies do indeed hire artists to create exclusive royalty free drawings. The catch is a double whammy tho. The artists are paid poorly and relinquish all rights - so even the best artist is motivated to produce utter crap. The other downside is that, well - the art is license free. So if you are a competitor, you can buy one companies stock of original royalty free art and resell it yourself. So even though there are artists creating new stock art here and now - it almost instantly becomes available everywhere once released.
