Where can you find resources for these kinds of images???
Hello All,
I would like to know what resources are best with regards to making a graphic tee like the ones attached. They are almost like photoreal, but they are not. Are the highly rendered objects drawn by a photoshop specialist and sold, can that kind of imagery be pulled from a clip art source, and if so which one? What ways are recommended for achieving those kind of results? All help is greatly appreciated.

You need to be an artist to draw those kind of images. Either that, or hire one.
They aren't really just "found", they are painstakingly drawn
That being said, there are a few image collections that you can purchase that have high quality images *similar* to those.

This is a very interesting comment. When I first got the t-shirt "bug", I had no idea how long it was actually going to take to put the designs I had in my head on paper. For me at least, it takes a very long time. If I had to estimate, it takes me at least a couple of weeks to finish one design.
It can be quite frustrating. For example, with the design I just finished, I was about to give up, but decided to stick to it and the end result was one of the best I've done so far.
What does help is practicing and learning the software you are using to make your designs. I use inkscape and find that I'm able to accomplish very desireable results with this single program. I'm still learning to use all the functions, but it is getting easier the more I practice and use the software. You have to have the right tools to do the job and know how to use them. When you know how to use them, it is much easier to create good looking designs.
I hope someday to speed up the creation process, but I have no doubt that it will always hard work.

You can also learn how to draw online...There are so many tutorials out there it's amazing just go to google.com type in (learn how to draw)( or how to draw) and there you have it...
ps.. im not trying to shoot you down Gary im just trying to help out in fact that's how i learned. Also my son just finished drawing some sweet tribal art for some tees.Oh! he also learned how to draw online. Goodluck

All of your help is greatly appreciated. Actually, I am pretty good with Photoshop and Illustrator. I just do not have the time to master that level of rendering. The stock sites are pretty good though. I will continue to investigate all of your suggestions. Thanks again.

this is the kind of stuff we do all the time...basically it just takes time....and good reference.
the easiest way is to set up a photoshoot with the kind of stuff you are looking to reproduce, and the pop it into photoshop and redraw and render the whole scene/layout.
believe me it is way easier/faster/and more legal than searching the internet for the right reference, and double checking all the proper licenses are available...plus you'll get accurate lighting and the layout you really had in mind from the start.
It will take alot of time at first....but the longer you do it - the easier and faster you can get it done....plus in a few years your reference vault will be an invaluable resource center for future designs.
It just takes time to render stuff.....no easy way about it....besides having someone else do it.

I'm pretty sure that located in photoshop you will find a rendering tool that turns any photo into a artist rendition or a color pencil sketch. I know PaintShopPro had it and that's the poorman's Photoshop. Hope that helps, good luck.
