Here is my question, I saw a shirt today that was a one color print, red on a white shirt. The cool thing was, it had different shades of red, the mascot was solid red, he was throwing a ball, which was solid red, but there was a real subtle light red trail behind the ball. I assume this was done with halftones. I have Accurip software and an Epson 1400 printer, so I can print halftones, but how do I creat the halftones in Corel? Thanks
I think you can convert to bitmap. Choose mode halftone and the settings are right there for screen, angle, LPI. I havent done any halftone printing with my screen set up but there are some basic rules with angles and such.
I have read these materials and they are very informative.... THey are FREE! Just add your email, and he( Mark Coudray) will send your the tutorials. They are pretty thorough!
You can accomplish it by using different tints of the color. Say your main color is 100% PANTONE Red 032. Well if you have an area you want lighter set it to say 30% PANTONE Red 032. When your print your separations it you will get a halftone in the lighter area.
